Hello, I've been using Outlook 2010, now I'm using Outlook 2013. My PST file is VERY LARGE 33,202,971,648 bytes (30.9 GB). I have auto archive set for 30 days. Is there any way for me to break this PST file into smaller parts and still retain the data in them? My main Mail (MAIN) account is Verizon On Line, and my other mail accounts are Hotmail and GMail. What I really want to do is to put all my Outlook files in my Users/David/Documents/Outlook Files/ folder.
I want to MOVE the%AppData%/Local/Microsoft/Outlook/.ost and mapisvc.inf files into my Users/David/Documents/Outlook Files/ folder so if I ever need to backup my Outlook files before I do a clean install or what ever, I can just copy all the files to my 64 GB flash pen drive. Can anyone help me with this problem? Or is this a no do situation? I would really appreciate any and all help concerning this matter. I understand that you have a very large Outlook Data file and need assistance in breaking the PST file however you want to retain the data. Here you may create new PST files in Outlook and move the data respectively. You may refer to the following article on how to reduce the size of your Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013 PST file: When you move or delete contents from the data file, though the data is deleted the space allocated would not be reduced and will remain the same. We will need to compact the data file in order to reduce the Outlook data file size. You may refer the following article to compact the Outlook data file: Note: This article also applies to Outlook 2013 as the data file is in Unicode format in Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013. I hope this information helps in reducing the PST file size in Outlook 2013.
